About the Role

We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, foster a positive and productive environment, and partner with the Store Manager to lead and develop employees. This role is crucial in maximizing financial goals and ensuring customer satisfaction, setting the tone for a customer-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers and addressing issues.
  • Monitor and assist in training employees to meet company standards.
  • Recruit top talent through designated channels.
  • Open and close the store, ensuring asset protection procedures are followed.
  • Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, and securing loans.
  • Administer store processes including inventory, loan management, merchandising, and systems.
  • Evaluate financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
  • Ensure operating standards meet or exceed company standards.
  • Monitor loan qualification and buying processes.
  • Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development.
  • Communicate store mission and profit objectives to employees.
  • Stay up-to-date on product knowledge.
  • Act as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Willing and able to perform duties for extended periods, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
  • Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
  • Ability to work with firearms and become firearms certified.
  • May be asked to assist customers on the exterior of the building or retrieve products from exterior storage.
  • Minimum Age: 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
  • Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must work 40+ hours a week (hours based on business needs and not guaranteed).
  • Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Cash handling experience required.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.
  • Agree to a binding arbitration agreement to resolve disputes.

Salary/Compensations

  • $16.00 to $20.00 per hour
  • Easily achievable commission structure
  • Potential to earn UP TO 8% on transactions (average additional $5.83 per hour)
  • Potential to earn 2-8% commission based on personal performance
  • Bonus based on store performance
