About the Role
Responsible for performing housekeeping and laundry tasks efficiently and cooperatively, ensuring the comfort and needs of residents are met under the direction of the Facility Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform housekeeping and laundry tasks according to established schedules
- Execute routine deep cleaning tasks
- Clean and disinfect the building
- Label residents' personal clothing items accurately
- Maintain accurate inventory records for linen and laundry supplies
- Ensure safe operation of dryers and regular lint removal
- Keep exits and corridors clear of obstructions
- Participate in fire and disaster drills and assigned emergency duties
- Replenish supplies as needed
- Comply with health and safety policies
- Adhere to sanitation and infection control procedures
- Stay current with industry developments and best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Ability to perform heavy lifting
- Visual acuity for inspecting linens and cleaning standards
- Comfortable using computer and phone applications
- Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Screen
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Successful completion of a medical clearance certificate
