About the Role
CASES is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Harlem Team Leader to join our Pretrial Services team. This role is responsible for all operational and programmatic needs for the staff and clients, with direct supervision of Assistant Team Leaders and clinical staff. The Team Leader represents their borough on the leadership team and may undertake special projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the clinical and administrative operations of a pretrial services team to ensure effective delivery of community supervision, clinical interventions, case management, credible messenger support, peer services, rehabilitation, and other supports.
- Ensure staff engage family members and significant others to strengthen assessments and support successful pretrial supervision outcomes.
- Manage a small, specialized caseload by conducting comprehensive assessments and providing intensive supervision and/or case management to individuals with complex risks and needs.
- Run daily organizational meetings, weekly team meetings, and virtual staff check-ins; collaborate with other team leaders to ensure consistent practice.
- Implement risk-management protocols, case reviews, staff supervision protocols, and incident reporting; conduct in-person and virtual community-based work with staff.
- Provide staff supervision, coaching, and training to ensure adherence to fidelity standards for supervision and case management.
- Oversee timely, complete, and accurate documentation in the database in accordance with confidentiality regulations.
- Respond to feedback and recommendations from Quality Improvement, Clinical Practice, Evaluation, and Clinical and Evidence-Based Training teams to promote continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in clinical discipline with 2-3 years Supervisory and Program Management experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working in human services with individuals with serious mental illness and those with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Experience understanding various evidence-based models and theories pertaining to psychoeducation, motivational interviewing, serious mental illness and recovery.
- Experience understanding family systems based on diversity of cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
Skills
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC strongly preferred
- Fluency in Spanish
- Strong commitment to social justice and the CASES mission
