About the Role

Responsible for performing various shipping, receiving, and warehouse tasks.

Responsibilities

• Check area for safety, cleanliness, and mechanical problems at shift start.
• Operate forklift safely and efficiently (must be qualified).
• Maintain forklift daily, including completing and documenting inspections, and report needed repairs.
• Operate forklift, pallet jacks, shrink wrap machine, hogger, baler, and bander.
• Collaborate with team members to complete daily jobs efficiently.
• Load and unload trailers safely and in a timely manner.
• Complete inspections of trailers during preload and unload.
• Keep machine centers stocked with product by locating, staging, and loading them.
• Review customer pick lists, pull correct items, and load finished products properly.
• Verify and load outbound customer orders at the plant and warehouse.
• Complete warehouse duties including loading, unloading, and maintaining inventory rotation.
• Conduct physical inventory counts at the warehouse.
• Assist as a backup to the Raw Material Handler by unloading incoming material and verifying against BOL.
• Perform end-of-shift cleanup.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment throughout the shift.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and housekeeping.

Requirements

• High school diploma or state-registered GED preferred.
• Must possess or successfully obtain a PIT certification.
• Stable work history.
• Basic computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to communicate and work well with others.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety.
• Ability to understand and follow safety procedures.
• Ability to work overtime and some Saturdays when scheduled.
• Ability to work in an environment requiring standing and walking for most of the shift.
• Ability to work in a loud noise level environment.
• Ability to work in a plant where temperatures can fluctuate.
• Ability to handle an average weight of 10-15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving mechanical parts.
