About the Role
Play a key role in estimating agricultural projects, from small jobs to state-of-the-art dairy and beef facilities, and see your work come to life.
Responsibilities
- Support Outside Sales teams by reviewing customer information, field measurements, and rough sketches to develop accurate estimates for cattle handling systems and agricultural facility projects.
- Prepare professional proposals, labor estimates, and supporting documentation.
- Read and interpret engineered drawings and blueprints.
- Create and modify project layouts in SolidWorks.
- Calculate material quantities, labor hours, equipment needs, and overall project costs.
- Negotiate with vendors and suppliers to develop accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.
- Coordinate with customers, Outside Sales representatives, vendors, subcontractors, field supervisors, and installation crews.
- Build strong customer relationships by providing responsive communication and dependable support.
- Complete post-project job costing to evaluate results and improve future estimating accuracy.
Requirements
- Hands-on construction experience.
- Experience in agriculture, livestock equipment, fencing, cattle handling systems, or a related industry.
- Comfortable with math.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office.
- Comfortable learning new software.
- Experience reading construction drawings.
- Experience with estimating.
- Experience with SolidWorks.
