About the Role

Serve as the primary point of contact for government agencies, authorities, embassies, and international organizations. Build lasting client relationships and strategically develop the Government & Diplomatic segment. Acquire new clients and manage existing key accounts professionally and over the long term. Negotiate contracts, framework agreements, and special terms, and manage the bidding process. Coordinate delegations, groups, and events from initial inquiry through to successful execution. Ensure compliance with diplomatic, protocol, and security requirements. Develop successful sales strategies in collaboration with Revenue Management and Marketing. Analyze market trends, business figures, and potential to make the most of revenue opportunities. Lead and develop your team, set clear goals, and foster a high-performing sales culture. Represent the hotel at important networking and industry events and ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training in hotel/restaurant management or as a hospitality professional.
  • Alternatively, a degree in hotel/tourism management.
  • Relevant professional experience in sales within the hospitality industry.
  • Outstanding leadership experience and experience in government relations.
  • Driven by success and willing to go the extra mile to reach a customer.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Berlin market.
  • Marriott experience from a previous or current role is a great plus.
  • A warm, authentic, and outgoing personality.
  • Engaging communication and presentation skills in German and English.
  • Knowledge of an additional foreign language is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for establishing the hotel brand as a major player in the market.
  • Flexibility and an impressive commitment to quality.
  • An organized and structured approach to work with an eye for detail.
