About the Role
Learn and perform tasks associated with hand transfer tools and press helper duties. Perform rework activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Operate hand transfer press and perform associated tasks.
- Assist the Press Operator to ensure continuous quality part production.
- Catch and stack parts while visually inspecting for defects.
- Clean the press and surrounding area during downtime.
- Operate secondary presses or operations efficiently and safely.
- Learn to read micrometers and calipers.
- Utilize gauges to maintain part quality.
- Learn and execute functions within the QAD inventory system.
- Perform quality checks accurately and at required intervals.
- Lift up to 40 lbs.
- Perform all other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Prior press experience preferred but not required.
- Must be able to operate hand transfer press.
- Must be able to learn to read micrometers and calipers.
- Must be able to understand and use any type of gage supplied to maintain the quality of the parts produced.
- Requires lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Must be able to sit, reach above shoulders, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs on a consistent basis.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed, 10-hour or 12-hour shifts (up to 7 days a week).
- Must be able to stand for 10-hour or 12-hour shifts (up to 7 days a week).
- Must have physical dexterity.
- Must be willing to complete Press Classes.
- Must be willing to complete Overhead Crane training.
