About the Role
We are passionate about taking care of the health and well-being of individuals living within long term care and group home settings. You’ll be part of our pharmacy team that’s committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. We are looking for friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individuals to join our team who will make meeting the health needs of our patients their top priority. This role is a term position until December 31, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Prescription data entry, assembly, and preparation for delivery to nursing homes
- Learn and be familiar with the necessary process needed for accurate automation
- Work with various electronic medication administration platforms, including Catalyst and Point Click Care
- Work with pharmacy automation including PacMed, PacVision and PacRoll software
- Receive telephone refill requests and questions from nursing home staff
- Compounding
- Ordering and replenishing supplies
- Drug order creation and receiving
- BTC management
- Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks, TML’s
- Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
- Assist with other pharmacy operations as required
Requirements
- Previous pharmacy experience in a long term care facility is an asset
- Experience using Kroll software is an asset
- Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills: Speaking with other health care professionals including pharmacists and nurses
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- Adhere to and implement all applicable company standards
- Successful candidates will be required to provide documentation to prove their legal ability to work in the position during the onboarding process.
