About the Role

Join our AI Growth team to build the intelligence behind Just Eat's marketplace, powering personalized experiences for millions of customers globally. This role offers the opportunity to deliver end-to-end machine learning solutions that directly impact customer engagement and order growth, working at the intersection of cutting-edge AI and real-world business impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and deployment of ML/AI solutions including embedding models, fine-tuned LLMs, and ranking systems.
• Apply generative AI and LLM techniques to personalization challenges.
• Design, run, and interpret A/B experiments with statistical rigor.
• Collaborate with ML engineers to productionize models and implement MLOps best practices.
• Translate complex business questions into clear modeling approaches and communicate results effectively.
• Take end-to-end ownership of workstreams, framing problems, choosing approaches, running experiments, and presenting findings.
• Write production-quality Python code and efficient SQL for data pipelines and analyses.
• Contribute to JET's foundation model platform and personalized targeting systems.
• Design experiments that influence commercial decisions.
• Stay current with advances in search, retrieval, recommendations, and LLM applications.

Requirements

• Proven track record delivering end-to-end ML solutions from problem framing through production deployment.
• Hands-on expertise in search, retrieval, and recommendation techniques.
• Practical experience applying LLMs in production environments.
• Strong experimentation skills with ability to design and interpret A/B tests.
• Production-grade Python coding abilities.
• Proficient SQL skills across complex data warehouses.
• Excellent problem-framing and communication skills.
• Self-starter attitude comfortable with autonomy and ambiguity.
• Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Results-driven mindset with attention to detail.
