About the Role
Hive is building the defining physical AI platform of the next decade to address the global shortage of industrial labor. This role is crucial for establishing Hive's operational capabilities in the UK, ensuring safe, efficient, and customer-centric deployments of our autonomous AI platform across various industrial sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead the operational execution of Hive's UK proof-of-concepts, validation projects, and customer deployments.
- Coordinate site readiness, commissioning, validation, and go-live activities.
- Manage day-to-day operational execution, including operator coordination, shift planning, and first-line support.
- Ensure customer sites are operationally prepared, including coordinating operator training and HSE requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customer teams and resolve operational issues.
- Develop practical processes, documentation, and ways of working to enable organizational scaling.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and development of operators.
- Capture operational feedback to improve Hive's platform, deployment methodology, and processes.
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading industrial operations, field operations, service delivery, or customer operations.
- Experience coordinating operational teams or shift-based organizations.
- Strong planning, coordination, and execution skills.
- Comfortable working in fast-moving environments with changing priorities.
- Hands-on mindset with willingness to spend significant time on customer sites.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the UK.
- Experience in logistics, warehousing, supply chain operations, construction, mining, heavy equipment, robotics, automation, autonomous systems, field service, commissioning, or industrial support is a plus.
- Experience in high-growth companies or technology scale-ups is a plus.
