About the Role

The Quality Engineering Manager leads a team of 20 quality engineers to drive quality across enterprise platforms, business applications, and digital experiences. This role focuses on shaping quality strategy, scaling automation frameworks, and applying AI-enabled testing to improve release confidence and efficiency in a regulated, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of 20 quality engineers across functional, automation, and non-functional testing.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, performance reviews, and career development for direct reports.
• Mentor QE Leads and senior engineers on risk-based quality strategy and automation excellence.
• Define and evolve quality engineering strategy for enterprise platforms and integrations.
• Scale an automation-first model using Java and Selenium to reduce manual execution.
• Apply AI-enabled testing to accelerate test design, risk analysis, and defect triage.
• Orchestrate continuous quality activities including SIT, DV testing, and release readiness.
• Define and publish quality metrics and provide executive-ready status narratives.
• Drive performance awareness and early non-functional quality checks.
• Coordinate vendor and managed-service testers.
• Align with cross-functional leadership across US and Europe time zones.

Requirements

• 8+ years in software quality, testing, or quality engineering.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering or QE teams in Agile environments.
• Experience driving quality for enterprise platforms and business-critical applications.
• Experience leading System Integration Testing (SIT) and Design Verification (DV) testing.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Selenium WebDriver.
• Practical experience with AI-enabled testing techniques.
• Working knowledge of regulatory and compliance expectations including FDA, GDPR, and GxP.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for executive-level reporting.
• Ability to synchronize with teams across US and Europe time zones.
