About the Role
Rockstar Games is seeking an experienced product manager to help deliver world-class experiences to new and returning players. This role contributes to the platform that connects millions of players globally with live-service gaming experiences, including Grand Theft Auto Online and Red Dead Online. You will create, communicate, and execute the vision for our online platform and its underlying technologies.
Responsibilities
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and performance-focused product development.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to other product managers.
- Participate in development and deployment of backend systems to increase engineer iteration speed.
- Manage and drive the product roadmap, aligning it with company goals, security standards, and player needs.
- Stay current with DevOps trends and technologies and apply that knowledge to platform engineers.
- Communicate technical and business requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into understandable requirements for cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement in platform resiliency by reviewing and optimizing performance and scalability strategies.
Requirements
- 12+ years of professional experience in product management in gaming or technology, or an adjacent field.
- Extensive experience with distributed systems and microservices architecture.
- Demonstrated experience with games development, its relevant tools and considerations, preferably with focus on online multiplayer games.
- Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of modern cloud (public and private) infrastructure best practices.
- Ability to influence stakeholders across various organizations without explicit authority.
- Aptitude for working iteratively to support evolving stakeholder visions.
