About the Role

Join our collaborative, growth-oriented veterinary team as a Veterinary Assistant. This role is an opportunity to provide exceptional care to pets and their families, embracing low-stress handling techniques and making a positive impact in the community.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians and technicians during routine exams and surgical procedures.
• Monitoring and caring for pets, ensuring comfort and safety.
• Collecting samples and performing diagnostics under supervision.
• Administering prescribed medications, vaccines, and treatments.
• Recording and maintaining patient medical history and inventory logs.
• Preparing rooms for appointments and surgery.
• Educating pet parents on preventive care, nutrition, and behavior.
• Supporting low-stress handling practices during all interactions.
• Assisting with radiographs, dental procedures, and general anesthesia monitoring.
• Maintaining a clean, disease-free environment throughout the center.
• Promoting all center services, including grooming, daycare, and boarding.

Requirements

• Preferred Experience: 1-2 years in a clinical veterinary setting.
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs. and manage emotionally and physically demanding situations.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
• A passion for pets and the human-animal bond.
• Tech-savvy with an interest in innovative veterinary practices.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, team-oriented attitude.
