About the Role
Lineage is seeking an Advanced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join their Accounting team. This role involves managing the accounts receivable process and serving as a key administrative resource for the Buffalo office. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, customer-focused, and enjoys collaborative work.
Responsibilities
- Manage customer accounts and maintain accurate accounts receivable aging.
- Apply customer payments accurately, including checks, ACH, credit cards, leasing payments, and other payment methods.
- Reconcile customer accounts and investigate payment discrepancies.
- Prepare and distribute customer statements.
- Contact customers regarding past-due balances through professional phone calls and email correspondence.
- Prepare and process past-due notices.
- Assess finance charges in accordance with company policies.
- Research unpaid leasing balances and work directly with leasing partners to resolve outstanding accounts.
- Process customer account updates and termination requests.
- Generate weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports for leadership.
- Assist in maintaining accurate customer records and supporting healthy company cash flow.
- Welcome visitors and provide a professional first impression for our company.
- Answer and route incoming phone calls as backup support.
- Cross-train to assist with dispatch operations when needed.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Maintain office supply inventory and organize common office areas.
- Schedule conference rooms and assist with office coordination.
- Provide administrative support to the Regional Office Manager and Accounting team.
- Perform general office duties including filing, copying, scanning, and document management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Receivable, accounting, or administrative experience.
- Knowledge of accounts receivable and collections processes.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Reliable attendance and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Experience with E-Automate ERP software.
- Previous experience in a business technology, equipment, or service organization.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to bend, reach, and handle equipment and supplies.
- Ability to work comfortably in both office and warehouse settings.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, technicians, and team members.
