About the Role
The Market Lead will lead the respective sales team while serving as the technical and commercial thought leader for a highly specialized market segment (Aerospace and Defense, Nuclear Power Generation, and/or Next-Generation Semiconductor). This role owns the full product lifecycle; from Voice of Customer (VoC) and market strategy through product launch, commercialization, and measurable market success.
Responsibilities
- Understand the Annual Sales Plan and translate that plan into measurable results
- Lead the Sales Specialist(s) to successful execution of the entire sales cycle from prospect identification, qualification, presentation, negotiation -to- deal signed
- Self-execute the sales cycle, and/or provide overwhelming support to the Sales Specialist(s) on critical accounts, national accounts, Master Service Agreements, etc.
- Maintain thought leadership and influence across all stakeholders in the highly specialized technical market of cognizance (Aerospace and Defense, Nuclear Power Generation, and Next-Generation Semiconductor)
- Communicate the value of silicon carbide, silicon nitride and high temperature carbides/diborides materials, laser chemical vapor deposition (LCVD) and embedded wire chemical vapor deposition (EWCVD) technologies and the fibers and composites they produce collectively, in a way heard loud and clear by the sales team, market and buyers
- Gathers Voice of Customer (VoC) and communicates that VoC in support of both Technology Development and New Product Commercialization efforts and cross-functional teams
- Participate in and lead, as designated, New Technology and Product delivery cross-functional teams representing the market of cognizance, VoC and as the point of contact with lighthouse customers
- Advance the company’s market presence by participating in technical conferences, trade shows, and industry events, helping to develop marketing strategies, coordinate exhibit activities, and generate new business opportunities
- Play a critical role in the continuous improvement of Sales standard work
Requirements
- Established network in the market of cognizance, Aerospace and Defense, Nuclear Power Generation, and/or Next-Generation Semiconductor - required

- History of thought leadership in the market of cognizance (papers, speaking, etc.) - required
