About the Role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer on the Client's Branch DevOps team, you will modernize DevOps processes by adopting best-in-breed tools and cloud-native practices. You will design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible, while managing cloud solutions in OpenShift. This role is crucial for the Delivery Modernization Project at a leading Canadian financial institution.
Responsibilities
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using Helios in GitHub Actions.
- Drive the migration from UrbanCode Deploy to Ansible for application deployments on Windows.
- Troubleshoot and remediate pipeline issues with cross-functional teams.
- Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot for automation and code quality.
- Create documentation for infrastructure, deployments, and DevOps processes.
- Collaborate with development teams for smooth pre-production and production deployments.
- Maintain Windows servers, including tool installation and configuration.
Requirements
- 4+ years of DevOps and automation experience with strong technical expertise.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Expertise in infrastructure-as-code and configuration management, particularly Ansible.
- Advanced scripting capabilities in PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- In-depth knowledge of GitHub Actions and UrbanCode Deploy.
- Proficiency with Windows server environments.
- Knowledge of build tools like Dotnet Framework and Maven.
- Deadline-driven and results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
