About the Role
Nestlé is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to join the Maintenance team at their ice cream manufacturing plant in London, Ontario. This role is crucial in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment essential for ice cream production and packaging.
Responsibilities
- Follow job-related guidelines and procedures for personal safety, food safety, environment, and company security.
- Maintain and troubleshoot all equipment related to the making and packaging of Ice Cream.
- Participate in Total Performance Management (TPM) and work group activities.
- Support continuous improvement and capital projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Certified as an Industrial Millwright with a 433A designation.
- Experience in an industrial maintenance environment.
- Preference for candidates with packaging equipment experience and/or experience in a food manufacturing facility.
- Ability to upgrade and fabricate machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and drawings.
- Good understanding of hydraulics and pneumatics, including components like valves, cylinders, and pumps.
- Total Performance Management (TPM) experience is an asset.

Salary/Compensations
- Hourly wage of $44.15/hr + shift premiums
- Wage increases January 1st of each year as per the collective agreement
- Overtime paid at time and a half after 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours per week
- Double time on Sundays
