About the Role
As a Surveillance Security Guard, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems and environments such as security operation centers, call centers, construction sites, parking lots, and gatehouses, spotting threats before they escalate. Your sharp eye and strong observation skills with attention to detail are crucial for this role.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
- Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
- Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports.
- Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification.
- Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
- Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in Canada.
- Hold a valid Ontario security license.
- WSIB approved first aid certification.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a mobile security guard.
- Must have a G license.
- Must have a clean driver's abstract.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus.
- Strong proficiency with technology.
- Ability to stand and walk throughout shift.
