About the Role

The Fraud Risk & Control Detection Team is seeking a Data Scientist to develop innovative fraud detection models and bring them to production in collaboration with data scientists, data engineers, technical leads, and product managers.

Responsibilities

  • Build data science applications from inception to production.
  • Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team including data scientists, software engineers, data engineers, and product managers.
  • Present and communicate key findings and project progress to senior business leaders.

Requirements

  • BS/MS in data science, statistics, or a similar quantitative field, OR 2+ years of practical on-the-job experience.
  • Hands-on expertise in data extraction, cleaning, preparation, feature extraction, model training, and evaluation.
  • Proven experience building analytics that deliver useful insights from large datasets.
  • Proven track record of delivering production machine learning tools that solve business problems.
  • Fidelity will not provide immigration sponsorship for this position.

Skills

  • Excellent programming skills in Python and Pandas.
  • Familiarity with Sagemaker and PyCharm is a plus.
  • Excellent experience in standard machine learning approaches, statistics, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and deep learning techniques.
  • Strong communication skills, able to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive problem definitions and meet business requirements.
  • Experience building production ML model containers at scale (Docker, SageMaker, Flask, Aerospike) is a bonus.
  • Dashboarding capabilities (PowerBI, Tableau, Looker) is a bonus.
