About the Role

We are seeking a Building Maintenance Engineer with a strong mechanical or plumbing background to join our Estates team. You will be responsible for delivering a first-class maintenance service across our Harley Street Campus, ensuring facilities are safe, compliant, and fully operational. This role is integral to our mission of improving human life through exceptional care.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the estate.
  • Diagnose and repair faults on mechanical and plumbing systems.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests and prioritize urgent issues.
  • Work in line with Health & Safety, COSHH, and hospital compliance standards.
  • Monitor, audit, and maintain building services equipment.
  • Support minor project works and planned improvements.
  • Liaise with and supervise specialist contractors when required.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records through the CAFM system.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to hospital staff.
  • Participate in the on-call rota and support fire safety requirements across the site.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within a commercial building maintenance or Hard FM environment.
  • Strong mechanical and plumbing maintenance fault-finding skills.
  • Good understanding of Health & Safety, COSHH, and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive, customer-focused approach.
  • Participation in an on-call rota is required (1 in 5).
