About the Role
CoStar Group is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their international HR team in London, UK. This role supports management and employees across CoStar International, with a focus on the UK, by assessing trends in engagement, retention, performance management, compensation, and career development. The HRBP will partner with functional leaders to maximize their effectiveness in leading successful and engaged teams and advise on HR initiatives aligned with business talent needs.
Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to understand their strategic objectives and provide HR support.
- Support and execute full lifecycle employee and HR processes including bonus programs, promotions, performance reviews, year-end compensation, engagement surveys, manager excellence, employee relations, and other people processes.
- Drive initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and overall workplace satisfaction.
- Analyze data and present findings to drive data-backed HR strategy.
- Coach managers to aid in their effectiveness, foster highly functioning and engaged teams, and drive a thriving corporate culture.
- Facilitate training on employee development, coaching, and other management topics.
- Ensure HR Business Partner support is highly effective and scalable to meet critical business goals.
- Proactively manage and resolve employee relations issues, ensuring a positive work environment.
- Act as a trusted advisor to management on employee relations matters, conducting investigations and providing guidance on resolutions.
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with UK employment laws.
- Partner with HR centers of excellence to ensure execution of all human resource operations within assigned client groups.
- Serve as a central point of contact for client groups’ HR needs.
- Help process transactions via HRIS including promotions, transfers, job and compensation changes and terminations.
- Support HR efforts in the integration of acquisitions, ensuring a smooth transition for employees.
- Drive continuous improvement through the effective use of AI, analytics, and technology, fostering innovative approaches to people practices and organizational effectiveness.
Requirements
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience required.
- HR Business Partner experience required in a role operating in a matrix organization.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment laws and regulations required.
- Knowledge of German or Spain employment laws and regulations is desirable.
- Strong experience in handling employee relations issues, investigations, and conflict resolution.
- Additional European language skills, particularly German and/or Spanish, would be advantageous.
- Experience working with and managing relationships with German Works Councils would be highly beneficial.
- Strong client-service and stakeholder management.
- Knowledge of AI technologies and their practical application within HR functions, with a demonstrated ability to identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve service delivery, and foster innovation.
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent data analysis, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- CIPD qualification desirable.
- Commitment to excellence and high level of integrity; ability to exercise strict confidentiality and sound judgement.
