About the Role

This role will be a legal business partner supporting Clarivate’s corporate transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financing, complex commercial agreements, and more. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value M&A and strategic transactions. You will have the opportunity to lead complex deals, interact with senior executives, and contribute directly to the company's long-term growth strategy, all while benefiting from a more balanced and sustainable work-life environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legal support for Clarivate’s corporate transactions, including the review and negotiation of deal documents, assistance in structuring deals, and coordination of due diligence.
  • Lead a variety of general corporate projects.
  • Review and negotiate complex commercial agreements, as time permits.
  • Identify ongoing personal training and developmental needs as part of continuous career and professional development.
  • Some travel on an as needed basis.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law and in good standing with the applicable bar association.
  • 5+ years’ experience as an attorney working primarily on complex, multinational mergers and acquisitions, including at least 3 years at a large North American law firm as a corporate/M&A associate.
  • Prior in-house experience preferred.
  • Excellent negotiation, organizational and deal management skills.
  • Enthusiasm for process improvement and client satisfaction.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with and influence senior executive leaders.
  • Admitted in good standing to the bar of working location.
