About the Role

MSG Entertainment is seeking a hard-working and experienced Seasonal BOH Team Lead to supervise food preparation, maintain hygiene standards, and manage inventory and equipment. This role ensures high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and train employees in food safety, food production, guest relations, and equipment use and maintenance.
  • Direct food preparation according to recipes and standard operating procedures.
  • Maintain daily inventory and waste management records.
  • Ensure quality control for food products served to guests.
  • Inspect locations and submit reports on cleanliness, food quality, inventory, and incidents.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate staff.
  • Resolve conflicts and customer complaints, complete staff evaluations, and address performance issues.
  • Open and close concession stands and supervise employees during events.
  • Ensure preparation areas are clean and sanitary, adhering to NYC Department of Health standards.
  • Participate in necessary meetings.
  • Ensure all safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Provide exceptional guest, partner, and team member experiences.
  • Adhere to appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.

Requirements

  • Knowledgeable of various cooking techniques and a passion for food.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • At least 2-3 years of supervisory or lead experience in food service.
  • New York City Food Protection Certificate.
  • Previous experience in training, food and beverage sanitation requirements, equipment operation, and liquor laws.
  • Experience resolving inventory discrepancies.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and people orientation.
  • Commitment to providing a high-quality service experience.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong follow-up skills.
  • Ability to present an uplifting personality while maintaining confidentiality and business ethics.
  • Demonstrates integrity, tact, diplomacy, and commitment to company values and principles.
  • Skilled at working collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and pull up to 75lbs.
  • Receptive to working outside in inclement weather and extreme temperatures.

  • Ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment or supplies.
