About the Role
Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont is seeking a Population Health Analyst to join the Reimbursement & Analytics Team. This role supports product initiatives and programs focused on medical cost and utilization management, sales and marketing, and quality improvement and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Provide consultation and analyses to client partners and support product initiatives and programs in Medical Cost and Utilization Management, Sales and Marketing, and Quality Improvement and Wellness.
- Track, measure, and convey results to internal and external audiences, focusing on product, financial, quality improvement, and medical utilization data.
- Act as a consultant to client partners and program stakeholders to improve the design and evaluation of health plan benefits and programs.
- Complete analyses to guide decisions and make recommendations on program direction.
- Support client initiatives and develop reports and analyses based on multiple data sources.
- Consult with internal and external parties.
- Develop and monitor models to assess program impact and value.
- Research and develop benchmarks.
- Analyze trends.
- Develop presentations and participate in external meetings to advance strategic objectives.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree in health care, business, statistics, math or a closely related field.
- Three to five years of population health and/or health insurance experience.
- Experience in reimbursement methodologies, data research and reporting.
- Microsoft Excel and SAS programming knowledge.
