About the Role

Shimmick is seeking a talented Mechanical Superintendent to support a Wastewater Treatment Plant Expansion Project in the Austin, TX area. With over 100 years of expertise, Shimmick is a dynamic infrastructure builder focused on water resources, sustainable transportation, and complex electrical construction.

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall on-site administrative and technical management for a wide range of construction projects.
  • Organize and direct construction and related activities within assigned area of responsibility.
  • Serve as the primary client contact for day-to-day jobsite activities or coordinate with client representatives.
  • Ensure jobsite operations comply with design/specifications, completion on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Interface with administrative field staff, field management, and the Project Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED + 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in heavy civil construction projects.
  • Experience with Wastewater, Water Treatment, Concrete structures, Process Piping, Mechanical.
  • Current OSHA 10.
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, well-organized, and effective time management.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Acubid, Hard Dollar, or similar software.
  • Excel experience.
  • Must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
  • Does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization.
