About the Role
The Security Officer provides a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff at Wellbridge, a facility dedicated to substance use disorder recovery.
Responsibilities
- Perform roving patrols of buildings and grounds.
- Assist with new patient entry and security procedures.
- Screen visitors at designated guard booths and entry posts.
- Assist intake teams with recording belongings, de-escalation, and physical restraint as directed.
- Monitor security cameras and alarms for unusual activity.
- Investigate and report missing property.
- Enforce campus safety policies, including contraband and substance control.
- Assist medical staff with room inspections and disposal of prohibited items.
- Maintain key and access control.
- Transport patients using company vehicles as needed.
- Deliver care in a culturally sensitive manner consistent with company values.
Requirements
- 8-hour and 16-hour OJT NYS Security Guard Program certification.
- Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to move up to 50lbs.
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor conditions.
