About the Role

Performs a variety of duties in support of the retail lending function to ensure compliance with lending regulations, accuracy and timely processing of lending transactions, and prompt, professional service to internal and external clients.

Responsibilities

  • Assembles and verifies accuracy of loan documentation, maintaining knowledge of all requirements and confirming accuracy of others' work.
  • Updates and maintains loan information on computer systems.
  • Ensures loan files contain proper documentation, including signatures, dates, and other relevant data, contacting lending personnel for missing information.
  • Maintains new and paid consumer loan files using computer systems for data input and other activities.
  • Prepares and reviews various loan documents and client communications, including notices, reminders, statements, payoffs, and other correspondence.
  • Performs complex loan to general ledger account reconciliations daily in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Performs the boarding of loans with more complexity and structure, specifically attorney-prepared documents for the Commercial Lending Division.
  • Reviews daily reports for accuracy and exceptions, making necessary corrections, researching errors, resolving problems, and responding to inquiries.
  • Prepares and maintains knowledge of applicable regulations, reviews and recommends changes to fulfill regulatory requirements, and submits reports to regulators.
  • Performs escrow analysis and disbursement of payments from all escrow accounts.
  • Maintains all investors accounts, including balancing, loan setup, and reporting.
  • Prepares and sends payments to vendors monthly and balances such accounts.
  • Maintains all participant loan accounts, including loan setup, remittance of payments, and notification letters to participating banks.
  • Prepares monthly CRA and HMDA reports for review by the Compliance Department and submits the annual report to the appropriate federal agency.
  • Answers telephone and assists clients with routine inquiries regarding payoffs and general loan processing.
  • Provides backup and/or primary support for other loan operations servicers.
  • Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Two or more years experience and/or formal training in a related position preferred
  • Knowledge of lending policies/regulations preferred
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Premier
  • Good written and oral communications skills
