About the Role
Join our Tower Hamlets Reset Recovery Team as a Volunteer! Help deliver inspiring group sessions that support people on their recovery journey by encouraging participation, building confidence, and creating a welcoming space for self-expression through art and creativity. Opportunities exist to develop skills, co-facilitate sessions, and support community art trips.
Responsibilities
- Welcome and support clients in creative group sessions.
- Promote groups and encourage participation.
- Help prepare activities and session materials.
- Co-facilitate creative workshops and group discussions.
- Provide one-to-one support where needed.
- Assist with trips to art exhibitions and community events.
- Help review and develop new session ideas and resources.
- Re-engage clients who miss sessions and encourage their return.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Requires a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at an enhanced level.
Skills
- Interest in art, crafts, or creative activities.
- Good communication and people skills.
- Positive, non-judgemental approach.
- Confidence, reliability, and enthusiasm to support others.
