About the Role
A Marble Care Porter is responsible for the detailed cleaning and care of marble surfaces throughout the casino property, playing a key part in maintaining the property's polished, high-end appearance by ensuring all marble floors, walls, and fixtures are spotless, well-maintained, and shining at all times.
Responsibilities
- Cleans problem areas both in/out of assigned area and assist in moving furniture and equipment utilizing proper safety techniques.
- Properly uses all equipment, maintain/clean all equipment used at the end of each shift, and immediately notify the Supervisor of any damage or malfunctioning equipment.
- Capacity to use all chemicals properly, maintain the storeroom, and advise the Supervisor of any needed supplies.
- Performing daily cleaning and polishing of marble floors, walls, and surfaces using specialized equipment and products.
- Stripping, sealing, and restoring marble surfaces as needed to maintain a polished appearance.
- Identifying and reporting any damage or wear to marble surfaces for repair.
- Safely operating floor machines, buffers, polishers, and other equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Following all safety procedures and using appropriate protective gear.
- Assisting with general cleaning tasks in surrounding areas as needed.
