About the Role

At Monumental, we are automating on-site construction using robotics and software. Our operating system, Atrium, manages everything from 3D structure design to robot fleet management, operational planning, and data analysis. As we scale, we are developing internal applications for scheduling robot operators, managing site logistics and maintenance, and enhancing manufacturing processes. This role focuses on building and improving these internal tools, transitioning manual processes into software solutions.

Responsibilities

Understand and prototype solutions for colleague-identified problems, iterating quickly.
Design and build tools for managing a distributed robot fleet.
Extend Fenestra, our internal data management tool.
Transition prototypes from operations and manufacturing teams into production.
Collaborate with hardware, control engineers, and robot operators on product experience.
Write clean, typed TypeScript and React code.
Debug and resolve memory leaks, crashes, and other issues.
Deploy and maintain backend services for new tools.

Requirements

Experience building full-featured web applications with TypeScript and shipping them.
Proven experience in building products in a zero-to-one environment.
An eye for good UI and UX design.
Strong sense of ownership and ability to drive projects independently.
Comfortable using coding agents while maintaining full ownership of features.
Ability to quickly learn new languages and tools.
Basic familiarity with Linux systems.
React experience is a plus.
Rust experience is a plus.
