About the Role
Helps plan and execute collection space projects and updates catalog records to optimize collection space and improve user access.
Responsibilities
- Conduct collection management projects including inventory, record maintenance in the Libraries ILS, and shifting to optimize shelf capacity and prepare collections for migration to a new ILS and future relocation to a high-density storage facility.
- Perform daily circulation and interlibrary loan tasks including retrieval, scanning, check-in, and shelving of physical materials.
- Gather data to support collection space map of general collections in the offsite storage facility.
- Aid in projects related to relocation, shifting, transfers, and storage and physical removal of deaccessioned materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent high school certification or combination of education and/or experience.
- Relevant Experience (2 Years)
- Applied knowledge of RDA, AACR2(rev), LCSH, LC classification, MARC2 1.
- Working knowledge of two or more Western European languages.
- Bachelor's degree
