About the Role
The Research Assistant position in the CEC involves supporting research through various assessments, data management, imaging acquisition, and grant submissions. The role offers opportunities for clinical and research experience, with potential for co-authorship on publications.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting and scheduling research participants
- Consenting participants
- Conducting behavioral, neuropsychological, and psychiatric assessments
- Acquiring MR Imaging data
- Performing vitals and lab processing
- Entering data and managing spreadsheets and databases
- Assisting with data analysis
- Assisting with IRB protocol submissions and modifications
- Conducting community outreach, posting flyers, and interfacing with community agencies, schools, clinics, and other recruitment sites
- Supporting grant submissions
Requirements
- Must have access to a vehicle and valid driver's license to commute
- Experience working with children and families
- Prior human subjects research experience is ideal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work as a member of a team and independently
- Initiative, superb organizational skills, and attention to detail are essential
- Background check against the Staff Exclusion List (SEL)
- Screening against the Statewide Central Register of Child Abuse and Maltreatment (SCR)
