Responsibilities
- Work closely with Senior Associates and Managers on audit, client service and review engagements.
- Review client files to understand client businesses and develop technical audit skills.
- Research and maintain strong understanding of the client’s business.
- Assist with the creation of financial statements including customized note disclosure as required.
- Identify accounting issues and collaborate with Senior Associate or Manager to develop work plans.
- Perform assigned assurance procedures and completes sections of the file under the supervision of the lead or Senior Associate.
- Develop questions to ensure reporting information is tested and demonstrates a reasonable understanding of client challenges.
- Prepare corporate tax returns as needed.
- Respond promptly and proactively to clients.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Canadian CPA designation.
- Completion of a Bachelors degree majoring in Accounting, Commerce or Business.
- Under two (2) years experience with a public accounting firm focused on assurance accounting and tax.
- Knowledge of CaseWare and TaxPrep is an asset.
- Solid understanding of business professionalism and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

- $60,000-$80,000
