About the Role

This role involves shaping administrative processes, addressing legal challenges in music licensing, and ensuring fair compensation for artists' music used commercially. You will contribute to the management of Sony Music's global repertoire, from digital monitoring to post-usage remuneration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Music Licensing & Rights Management department.
  • Ensure fair compensation for artists' music used commercially.
  • Manage individual projects for the global Sony Music repertoire, from digital monitoring to post-usage remuneration.
  • Maintain and develop various tools for efficiency and automation.
  • Participate in and prepare for internal and external meetings.
  • Handle administrative tasks and data maintenance in systems with attention to detail.
  • Create reports to aid in strategic goal achievement.
  • Monitor the market and create market analyses.

Requirements

  • Interest in the music and entertainment industry.
  • Hands-on and organized approach.
  • Experience in media law, accounting, or royalties is a plus.
  • Ability to contribute and develop ideas.
  • Skill in analyzing information, preparing it, and deriving recommendations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams and deadlines.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, music streaming services, and social media platforms.
  • Interest in new AI tools like Co-Pilot and administrative processes.
  • Fluent in German and English.
