About the Role

Bayshore Medical Personnel is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with one (1) full-time equivalent year of experience to provide services to patients on a walk-in and appointment basis in various primary and ambulatory care settings such as the Care Delivery Unit (CDU), treatment room, and specialty clinic.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the direction of physicians, Registered Nurses, and/or other healthcare providers.
• Perform COVID screening prior to patients entering the clinic.
• Assist with vaccinations.
• Conduct patient history and physical assessments.
• Perform selected diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
• Counsel patients on preventive health care.

Requirements

• One (1) full-time equivalent year of experience within the last 3 years in nursing practice conducting patient assessments and providing direct nursing care for a broad range of diseases in the adult population in a primary care or ambulatory care setting.
• Current N95 mask fit certificate CSA Standards Z94.4 (within 2 years)
• Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) Certification (within 2 years)

Skills

• Graduated from a Practical Nursing Program approved by Council of the College of Nurses
• Current and valid license from the provincial or territorial professional college or association in the province of practice
• Certificate of Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider or equivalent such as Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation/Automated External Defibrillator (CPR/AED) Level C
