About the Role
Larlyn Property Management is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support its Southwestern Ontario portfolio. The role involves general maintenance, suite preparation, repairs, and property upkeep across multiple sites, with a need for reliability and flexibility in scheduling, including weekend and on-call emergency support.
Responsibilities
- Completing maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Preparing vacant units for re-renting, including minor repairs, touch-ups, hardware adjustments, fixture replacements, and general clean-up
- Performing minor plumbing, drywall repairs, painting, and basic HVAC maintenance
- Repairing fences, decks, gates, railings, stairs, walls, and partitions
- Assisting with exterior maintenance, including minor landscaping, patio stones, gardening, eaves troughs, downspouts, and snow removal
- Troubleshooting leaks, noises, and general building issues
- Assisting other sites as operational needs arise
- Participating in rotating on-call emergency maintenance coverage
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance service experience
- Renovation experience is considered an asset
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to complete paperwork accurately and neatly
- Comfort using basic technology
- A positive attitude and strong commitment to customer service
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and on-call shifts as needed
- Candidates must be able to walk, stand, climb stairs, bend, lift, and perform physical tasks throughout the day
- Ability to maneuver up to 90 kg with proper equipment
- Provide their own tools by the end of the probationary period
- Have access to their own vehicle; a truck or trailer is preferred
