About the Role

You will be one of the commercial faces of Augustus, owning key commercial relationships and the deals behind them. This individual contributor role involves managing the full sales cycle, from discovery to closing complex deals with global financial institutions and digital asset businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Own key commercial relationships and the deals behind them.
  • Manage the full sales cycle: discoveries, qualifying accounts, understanding product roadmaps, structuring agreements and commercials, and closing deals.
  • Engage with global financial institutions, cross-border companies, international banks, and digital asset businesses across US, LATAM, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Navigate counterparties' product, compliance, legal, and technical stakeholders.
  • Identify decision-makers and clear blockers to progress deals.
  • Collaborate with legal, risk, and compliance teams to structure new agreements when needed.
  • Develop fluency in accounts, API, and clearing capabilities to conduct deep-dive discussions.
  • Build relationships and meet clients in person.
  • Structure commercial proposals and negotiate deals.
  • Establish operating modes with product, growth, compliance, and account management teams.
  • Interact with internal stakeholders.
  • Sign partnerships and facilitate money movement.
  • Build trust within the market and gather unique market insights.
  • Reactivate stalled deals.
  • Identify fast-scaling customer segments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in strategic partnerships, business development, or strategic sales.
  • Proven track record of personally sourcing and closing complex deals with sophisticated counterparties.
  • Comfortable in technical and regulatory conversations, including API-level discussions and compliance diligence.
  • Ability to navigate multi-stakeholder organizations and unclear decision paths.
  • Subject matter credibility in the relevant space.
  • Excited by uncapped responsibility and an undefined playbook.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time, depending on deal needs.
  • Not suited for individuals whose motion has been inbound or who prefer pipeline being handed to them.
  • Not suited for those looking to maintain relationships rather than build them.
  • Not suited for those seeking a team to manage, as there are no direct reports.
  • Not suited for those unwilling to travel and meet clients in person.
