About the Role

The Resident Services Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for residents, fostering a sense of community and providing excellent customer service. This role is crucial during property renovations, assisting residents throughout the process and coordinating with property management and construction teams to ensure a high-quality resident experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resources and a welcoming environment for residents, customers, vendors, and neighbors.
  • Acquire broad knowledge of the community and surrounding area.
  • Assess resident needs and connect them with appropriate provider and community resources.
  • Facilitate programs such as health and wellness, life enrichment, or transportation.
  • Develop a resource directory of local social service agencies and providers.
  • Prepare and maintain logs of resident issues and services provided.
  • Provide residents with contacts and resources for benefits and entitlement program applications.
  • Assist residents with lease violation resolution under direct supervision of the Property Manager.
  • Promote a strong sense of community and help connect residents.
  • Coordinate resident activities and movements during renovations or construction with client representatives and the construction team.
  • Assist residents in preparing for home changes, addressing concerns during renovation and transition.
  • Help residents understand the renovation process.
  • Help residents connect to their families, friends, and social networks for support, especially during displacement.
  • Deliver culturally and age-appropriate activities for residents.

Requirements

  • Understand the characteristics of the resident population and property.
  • Ability to effectively interact and work with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness and ability to work some evenings and weekends.
  • Act respectfully, be patient, and consistent.

  • Flexibility and ability to manage a complex workload in varied work environments.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, writing, and computer skills.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended or continuous periods.
  • Must be able to ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
  • May be required to travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for 85% of the time.
  • Regularly operate office machinery.
