About the Role

As an eCommerce Performance Marketing Specialist at Opella, you will define and execute eRetail Media strategy, Digital Shelf, and eInnovation to ensure a seamless consumer experience and drive growth. You will partner with the eCommerce Key Account team to optimize the consumer journey and deliver value through performance metrics and analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the eRetail Media strategy for key accounts such as Amazon, Rakuten and Askul, working closely with the regional operations team.
  • Manage the digital shelf, optimizing online content, brand sites and product pages for the best possible shopping journey.
  • Partner with the Digital Marketing and Performance Marketing Lead to keep online and offline marketing calendars in sync and campaigns well coordinated.
  • Connect eRetailer media strategy to digital marketing campaigns, building an end to end funnel for our brands.
  • Deliver on key performance indicators including ROAS, New to Brand, Share of Voice, impressions, click-through rate and market share.
  • Analyze the performance of onsite and offsite activations and turn the findings into actions that optimize media spend across key accounts.
  • Collaborate closely with eCommerce Key Account Managers, Digital Marketing, and cross functional teams across Brand & Innovation, Commercial, Science and Supply Chain.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce, Trade Marketing or Digital Marketing within a consumer goods environment.
  • Hands-on experience driving retail media strategy, onsite and offsite.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data.
  • An entrepreneurial, test and learn mindset with a passion for data-driven transformation.
  • Native-level Japanese and intermediate English.
  • Experience in FMCG, healthcare, or a pure-player or major digital platform environment.
  • A broad understanding of eCommerce and digital.
  • Regional or international market experience.
  • A track record of successful initiatives and strong communication skills, including experience influencing senior stakeholders.
  • A hands-on approach with a focus on delivering business results in a cross functional environment, managing stakeholders across other functions.
