About the Role
The Hagedorn Little Village School is seeking a Special Education Teacher for an immediate opening. This role involves both classroom teaching and substitute teaching responsibilities for students with developmental disabilities.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans for students with developmental disabilities in accordance with NYSED Guidelines.
- Serve as a half-day classroom teacher and a half-day substitute teacher.
Requirements
- NYSED certification: Students with Disabilities Birth - Grade 2, Students with Disabilities 1-6, or Students with Disabilities All Grades
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members
- Highly proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction in accordance with NYSED standards
- New graduates with pending certification (all requirements completed) are welcome to apply.
Skills
- Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis highly preferred
- Bi-lingual a plus

- Hours: 8:00-4:00 Monday to Friday

- Bachelors: $57,500 - $59,000
- Masters: $60,000 - $63,000
