About the Role

Working closely with our Maintenance Manager and the wider hotel team, you'll play a key role in keeping The Hoxton running smoothly behind the scenes. From coordinating day-to-day maintenance tasks and supporting preventative maintenance to resolving technical issues and ensuring high operational standards across the hotel, you'll help create a safe, well-maintained and welcoming environment for both our guests and our team.

Responsibilities

Inspect sites regularly to identify problems and necessary maintenance.
Prepare weekly maintenance schedules & tests and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
Oversee maintenance operations and champion initiatives that promote sustainability and environmentally responsible practices.
Supervise and train workers.
Coordinate daily maintenance activities, cleaning and oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
Conduct preventative maintenance work.
Conduct follow-ups on all maintenance and repair work.
Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
Establish strategies to meet workload demands on time.
Fault repair, maintenance of equipment, plumbing, furniture and lighting.
Perform general tasks such as connecting equipment, lighting, installing locks and hinges etc.
Accurate control of the work and your own workspace and equipment.
Prepare order and stock takes.
Cover Maintenance Technicians shifts as required.

Requirements

Completed vocational training in a relevant field (Electrical, Plumbing, Building Services, or a related trade).
Ideally 2-3 years of experience as a Maintenance Technician, Electrician, or in a similar role.
Fluent in both German and English (any additional language is a plus).
Solid technical knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.
Flexibility to work shifts, including varying working hours.
Skilled in carrying out minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
A team player who is equally comfortable working independently.
