About the Role

Major League Baseball is seeking a Designer, Brand Design (Seasonal) to support visual branding and graphic design projects for key MLB initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and refining branding for MLB events, initiatives, properties, products, commemorative marks, and campaign identities.
  • Contribute to the development of brand style guides and visual systems.
  • Create production-ready art.
  • Assist with the development of League branding guidelines.
  • Help establish and maintain branding consistency across all MLB platforms.
  • Collaborate with MLB Global Designers, including MLB Digital, Social, and International teams.
  • Create and implement templates and graphic systems.
  • Review and refine design assets to ensure alignment with brand guidelines and creative direction.
  • Support the rollout of visual identities across league-wide campaigns, events, and platforms.
  • Develop sales and partnership presentations.
  • Contribute to events and environmental design.
  • Create consumer product inspiration boards, uniforms, and licensee toolkits.
  • Design for retail and point-of-sale experiences.
  • Create broadcast and promotional materials.
  • Develop internal concept boards, mockups, and creative strategy decks.
  • Provide clear direction to external partners.
  • Review work to ensure alignment with brand strategy and creative standards.
  • Manage feedback loops and production timelines.
  • Design for experiential activations and installations.
  • Create credentials, invitations, signage, and collateral for marquee league events.
  • Provide pre- and post-production support as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in branding, graphic design, or visual identity systems.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing logo development, brand systems, and applied design.
  • Clear understanding of how brand identity translates across digital, social, print, and physical environments.
  • Familiarity with print production and post-production workflows.
  • A passion for baseball and an interest in sports branding.

Skills

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
  • Experience working with presentation platforms such as PowerPoint, Keynote, and Google Slides
  • Strong organization and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
