About the Role
Unlimited Technology is seeking a Systems Engineer III to support security system design and implementation for local NYC and enterprise customers. This role involves coordinating internal resources, managing projects, and serving as a Subject Matter Expert for system upgrades.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with engineering and operations resources to prepare, implement, and complete final closeout on assigned projects.
- Work with the Project Managers to coordinate and communicate project status regularly.
- Manage assigned installation and service tickets.
- Support and execute engineering tasks efficiently by managing time and shifting between projects.
- Travel to various sites for commissioning on a scheduled basis.
- Program various supported systems including Genetec, Software House, Lenel, Gallagher, Milestone, Avigilon, Commend, AMAG.
- Configure networks, including Cisco and HP CLI interface commands, VLAN configuration, and static routing.
- Configure firewalls, including Cisco and Juniper.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) when interfacing with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Plan and execute various complex system upgrades.
Requirements
- 5+ years of technical experience in Access Control, Video Surveillance, and Network Design.
- Experience in security system design for healthcare, government, K-12, commercial, and higher education environments.
- Experience with one or more of the following software platforms: Genetec, Software House, Lenel, Gallagher, and Milestone.
- Experience with Windows Server configuration.
- Experience with servers, workstation troubleshooting, and PC peripherals.
- Experience with network switch configuration, VLANs, etc. (Cisco and HP preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the specified security manufacturers.
