About the Role

MTS social design is seeking a community development specialist for a neighborhood project in Berlin, involving on-site work. This is a part-time position (32 hours/week) initially for one year.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a point of contact for residents.
• Initiate, plan, manage, and evaluate projects.
• Advise and support applicants for funding.
• Involve residents in participation formats.
• Empower and support residents and initiatives.
• Participate in neighborhood-related networks.
• Organize, conduct, and moderate events.
• Contribute to public relations.
• Documentation and reporting.
• Reconciliation of material resources.

Requirements

• Completed degree in urban planning, architecture, or social innovation.
• Intercultural competence.
• Relevant professional experience is ideal.
• Very good language skills (native or C1/C2) in German and another language.
• Experience in applying for and managing funded projects.
• High performance, communication skills, organizational skills, social competence, ability for independent work, teamwork, efficiency.
• Willingness for flexible working hours.
• Car driver's license.
