About the Role
Develop and implement new projects and technologies for CO2 removal and permanent storage to meet Paris climate goals. Build a team in Berlin to develop and market certified CO2-negative products, focusing on Power to X technologies as a core pillar for climate protection.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize future projects at favorable locations for new plants worldwide.
- Scout and contract companies for on-site project implementation and negotiate contracts.
- Exchange with technology manufacturers in Direct Air Capture and CO2 storage (BECCs, DAC, biochar, chemical storage, green hydrogen from biomass, etc.) and build a network of partners.
- Analyze processes, technologies, and potential new partners in capture and CO2 storage (geological, chemical, etc.) and related certification processes.
- Plan pilot plants and coordinate technical execution, including driving construction steps, setting goals and measures, and contracting and controlling service providers.
- Certify new products and their CO2 storage for customers on an ongoing basis and support sales in marketing.
- As a Team Lead, utilize expertise to efficiently assign employees to their work areas and goals, and be responsible for overall success.
Requirements
- Negotiation-level proficiency in German and English.
- Above-average university degree in (Business) Engineering (Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or Natural Sciences.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience with practical, technical relevance.
- Expertise in Direct Air Capture, CO2 storage in rock formations, green hydrogen, and/or plant construction is advantageous.
- Proven initiative.
- For Team Leaders: Successes in Business Development, budget responsibility, negotiation skills, several years of leadership experience.
- Expertise and commitment in the field of environment/climate protection.
