About the Role
Internova Travel Group is seeking a Land Comms Assistant to manage the tracking, invoicing, and collection of hotel commissions from suppliers and vendors. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of accounts and timely payment recovery for the company and its independent contractors.
Responsibilities
- Track, invoice, and chase hotel commission on current debt in line with company policy.
- Allocate funds from suppliers and vendors via various methods.
- Build and maintain close links with vendors and customers to ensure smooth running of accounts and encourage timely payment recovery.
- Timely and effective collection of all debts owed.
- Resolve queries internally and externally around outstanding invoices promptly.
- Manage and maintain the shared Land comms inbox in a timely manner.
- Post and allocate daily credit receipts to the accounting system paid via various vendors, Onyx, Tacs, Expedia.
- Provide accounts information, such as aged debt reports, as and when required.
- Handle ad hoc queries and liaise with other members of the Finance team.
- Perform month-end procedures and send out monthly statements via systems and manual processes.
- Provide support to year-end statutory audits.
- Undertake ad hoc responsibilities as and when required.
Requirements
- Ability to work as a team member with constant communication.
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships, both internally and externally at all levels.
- Ability to reconcile complex accounts with excellent attention to detail.
- Competence in Microsoft Office products and accounting software.
- Prior experience with accounting systems.
- Calm, polite, and professional demeanor to handle potentially uncomfortable conversations and emails.
- Minimum 3 years of experience.
