About the Role

The Detection and Response team is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to monitor and respond to adversarial activity, conduct threat hunting, and normalize data to identify anomalies within Anduril's defense technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Triage and respond to alerts and incidents across various domains including phishing, endpoints, cloud infrastructure, and SaaS applications.
  • Build and optimize detection signatures, response playbooks, and automation using detection-as-code principles.
  • Fine-tune alerts to reduce false positives as the frontline of Detection and Response.
  • Participate in threat modeling with cross-functional partners to identify weaknesses and incorporate findings into security controls and detection signatures.
  • Organize and conduct threat hunting and data baselining to identify anomalous patterns.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation for security events and incident response investigations, communicating findings to stakeholders.
  • Proactively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in security monitoring, log analysis, and detection engineering with large datasets from endpoint, network, and application logs.
  • Experience in Python development for automating SOC operations.
  • Experience with SIEM query languages (SPL, KQL, SQL).
  • Broad practical security knowledge across endpoint, network, identity, application, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs) across Windows, Linux, MacOS, AWS/Azure, etc.
  • Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian NV2 clearance.
