About the Role

This role is responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies to enhance U.S. Bank's reputation and brand awareness across Europe, positioning it as a trusted financial partner and employer of choice.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of integrated external and internal communications strategies aligned to business goals and European priorities.
  • Identify and deliver compelling storytelling opportunities that enhance U.S. Bank’s profile across priority markets and sectors.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with media, journalists and external partners.
  • Draft high-quality content including press releases, media materials, thought leadership and executive communications.
  • Prepare and brief senior leaders for media interviews, speaking engagements and internal events.
  • Monitor the external environment to identify reputational risks and opportunities, providing informed recommendations.
  • Collaborate across teams in Europe to ensure consistent, clear and compliant messaging.

Requirements

  • Experience in a PR agency and in-house communications role, ideally within a regulated environment.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and corporate communications in a European context.
  • Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging messaging for external and internal audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting executive visibility and profile-building initiatives.
  • Familiarity with social and digital channels as part of integrated communications campaigns.
  • Strong judgement, professionalism and ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Approximately six or more years of communications experience.
