About the Role
As a Human Resources Business Partner (m/w/d) – Operations Organization in the Berlin area, you will be responsible for HR processes, supporting leaders and teams, fostering employee engagement, managing personnel issues, and contributing to the successful implementation of the HR strategy in an operational environment.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to leaders and employees in a production environment, driving organizational effectiveness and ensuring alignment of HR initiatives with business priorities.
- Support the implementation of Carrier values, HR processes, and tools, ensuring alignment with operational and business objectives.
- Coach and support leaders on people-related matters, including performance management, talent development, employee relations, engagement, and organizational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with operational leaders to foster a performance-oriented corporate culture aligned with Carrier values and leadership principles.
- Lead and support organizational change processes and workforce planning activities to ensure organizational adaptability and growth.
- Utilize HR metrics and people data to identify trends, support decision-making, and improve business performance.
- Build and maintain constructive relationships with employee representatives and ensure effective labor relations in compliance with German labor law and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with legal, ethical, and social standards in all HR-relevant matters and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Manage the entire employee lifecycle from a strategic perspective, including onboarding, talent development, employee retention, and offboarding processes.
- Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition on strategic personnel needs, while operational recruiting activities are handled by a specialized recruiting team.
- Actively participate in HR projects and initiatives crucial for the success of the production site, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Promote a strong focus on Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Requirements
- Completed university degree, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, Psychology, or a related field.
- Several years of professional experience in HR, ideally in a production, manufacturing, operations, or supply chain environment.
- Experience supporting leaders in a dynamic business environment.
- Experience in an international company is an advantage.
Skills
- Fluent German language skills are mandatory, as well as professional English written and spoken.
- Sound knowledge of German labor law and practical experience in employee relations.
- Experience collaborating with works councils and handling labor law issues.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build trust and influence at all organizational levels.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate business requirements into effective HR solutions.
- Very good knowledge of Excel and HR systems; experience with Workday is an advantage.
- Strategic and solution-oriented mindset.
- Strong social skills and the ability to actively drive change.
- Proactiveness, flexibility, and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Team-oriented personality with a passion for people and organizational development.
