About the Role
This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of customers, focusing on delivering exceptional service and driving business growth. The role may involve managerial responsibilities for a small country or area, overseeing account activities and ensuring team alignment.
Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth for designated accounts by managing sales and profitability.
- Lead negotiations for pricing agreements, managing credit, pricing, and rebates for key accounts.
- Defend and protect Givaudan's base business in assigned markets and with assigned customers.
- Create, communicate, and implement strategic Annual Development Plans (ADPs), sales forecasts, and budgets for key accounts.
- Define and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure success.
- Oversee the quality and quantity of projects within the pipeline.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers.
- Coordinate all Givaudan activities related to designated accounts.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Technical, Regional Account Managers, and Operations) to meet customer needs.
- Engage in ongoing learning and development to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
- 4-6 years successful sales, marketing, or customer relationship experience in the food or related industry.
- Proven ability to apply strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting skills.
- In-depth understanding of customer profiles, preferences, and the competitive landscape.
- Strong understanding of customer strategies, initiatives, priorities, and launch processes.
- Thorough understanding of profitability goals for key accounts.
- Capable of executing all account management steps in the brief handling process.
- Skilled in identifying unmet customer needs and generating new business opportunities.
- Strong ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customer decision-makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive approach to continuous learning and staying updated on industry trends.
